These two-plank wagons were by far the most well represented class in the railway's fleet which ultimately comprised 78 vehciles when the Manx Northern Railway stock was amalgamated in 1905. Today only one vehcile (M.78) remains in existance and this was rebuilt by the now defunct Mainland Group of the Supporters' Association in 1996 as a project. Today it sees frequent use on the railway both practically and as part of the annual Rush Hour and Manx Heritage Transport Festival events where it can be seen in mixed trains for photographic purposes. |
