Home News 2010 Easter Bunny Visits Douglas Station

Easter Monday saw a visit to the railway by the Easter Bunny who was in attendance at Douglas Station distributing chocolate eggs to all travelling children.  A similar event took place at Laxey Station on the Manx Electric Railway marking the first time that the railway have held such an event over the Easter Weekend.  Fair numbers travelled over the weekend despite the somewhat erratic weather, and trains consisted of four coaches each, with one five-coach train to accomodate a party booking from Port Erin.  With No. 12 Hutchinson as the Douglas-based loco and No. 10 G.H. Wood based south, on Easter Sunday No. 4 Loch was swapped and is now the south-based locomotive for the time being.
