Wednesday 31st March saw the commencement of the main timetable with four departures from each terminus station at 9.50am, 11.50am, 1.50pm and 3.50pm daily. With No. 12 Hutchinson as the Douglas-based engine and coaches F.46, F.47 and F.49 whilst No. 10 G.H.Wood is currently south based hauling F.39, F.18 and F.26. Atrocious weather conditions on the first day of the standard timetable saw a few hardy souls braving the elements for the hour-long journey. All trains pass at Ballasalla Station.
.
A further enhanced timetable will operate over the May Holiday weekend and this can be viewed via the link on this site. The weekend will also see the inaugeral Rush Hour event take place on the railway and details of this event will appear on this site as soon as they become available. This will be the first of three events this year, the second being the Manx Heritage Transport Festival and this will be followed by a Tramway Gathering in September which will centre around the Manx Electric Railway. The holiday weekend event will however focus entirely on the Port Erin Line and promises a range of varied events.
