The official timetable leaflet for the island's railways has been released and is now available from all manned stations and other tourist outlets including of course the Welcome Centre located in the Sea Terminal. In a change from previous years this publication takes the form of a booklet, rather than the previous fold-out versions and includes and introductory summary history of the island in addition to the timetable information. The front cover features an image of No. 10 G.H. Wood at Port Soderick.
.
There is also a page dedicated to the island's other railways including those at the Great Laxey Mines and the Supporters' Association own line at Groudle Glen. The centre spread features a map of the island with the various lines highlighted as well as some areas of interest. The timetables themselves appear at the rear of the leaflet which concludes with a page of useful contact details, e-mail addresses and websites. This year marks a departure from previously with trains departing each terminus station at XX.50 rather than the XX.20 departures of recent times. A page also details the various special events periods throughout the year with the remaining section being devoted to promotion of the refreshments outlets at Douglas, Port Erin, Laxey Station and Snaefell Summit. The timetable "proper" can be accessed from this site, and the relevant page has been added to the Timetables Page as well.
