Home News 2010 Website Forum Has Finally Gone Live!

After many months of behind-the-scenes work, one of our most frequently asked questions can now be answered “yes” - the Supporters’ Association website now as the long-awaited forum facility added.  The facility is the result of many questions from our more frequent visitors and will give anyone the opportunity to register and voice and opinion on all things related to the railway (or, if they so wish, anything not related to the railway too!).

We do hope that this area of the site will prove to be open lively debate and to this end we have put some dummy articles and posts on there to start the ball rolling.  It is interesting to note that even before this official announcement has been posted, we’ve already gained our first member, all the way from New Zealand!

To access the forum visitors will notice that the signing in facility has been removed from the bottom left corner of the site (being replaced by a “who’s online” facility which is quite useful.  The forum access is via a newly created button on the top (brown) menu - simply click on this and you’ll gain access to the forum area, and be able to see the bare-bones of it; to add your own voice, simple press the “register” button and answer a few simple questions.

This area of the site has great potential to give your committee ideas for any future projects on the railway, ideas of ways we can further offer our support, as well as providing a valuable resource for us, whereby visitors can comment (with anonymity if desired) on any aspect of the railway, past, present and future.

We look forward to seeing this new facility develop as time goes by, and hope that our many casual visitors will seize the opportunity to have their own say on a wide range of subjects.  As ever, feedback to your website administrator is always gratefully received, and is now even easier to pass on!
