In addition to the water tower at the easterly end of the station nearby the signal box, there was also a water tower to service the locomotives on the Ramsey Line platform.  This was added by the Railway Company following the merger with the Manx Northern Railway in 1905 to accommodate the increase in northern line trains at the station.
