Home St. John's Junction Cattle Dock & Platforms (18??)

Being the site of a local farmers' mart (surviving until well after the railway closed), the station was supplied with a cattle dock and associated platforms, located beyond the passeger platforms for the Peel and Ramsey Lines respectively; the docks were concealed by large advertising hoardings which carried such legends as "Guinness Is Good For You" and the like, but at either side one could spy the docks and platforms from the passenger platforms.  Out of use for several years, these remained badly overgrown, until the demise of the line in 1968.
