Following the successful "Un-Loch Your Cash" appeal launched in 1998 as part of the Steam 125 celebrations, No. 4 Loch was returned to service with suitable re-inaugeration ceremony but by 2001 it was apparant that she was in need of new injectors at a cost of £4,000.00 each and the Supporters' Association was only too happy to assist the railway by providing these.  Since the success of the campaign she has been considered our "flagship" engine and remains in regular service today, and has since also been retubed at the expense of the Supporters' Association.
