Makers:                   Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd.

Year:                       1926 (Mounted On Bogies)

Status:                    In Store

Having been one of the last batch of four-wheel coaches to be mounted on bogie underframes in 1926, this coach survived in regular traffic until it was withdrawn at the close of the 1987 season in poor condition.  Today, it remains in store; initially it was placed in the most southerly road of the old carriage shed in front of No. 5 Mona and No. 6 Peveril with several other "pairs" coaches.  When the carriage shed was demolished to make way for the new transport headquarters incorporating bus maintenance garages in 1998, the vehicle was moved into the new carriage shed at Port Erin where it remains in store, untouched, today.  It is stored in the open for the T.T. period each year when the carriage shed space is required to store the service stock for use on the railway's commuter services, an annual event since 2007.
