Mounted in 1923, the coach bodies were removed in 1941 and placed into storage and the frames fitted with the wagon bodies off M.19 and M.20; by 1944 the situation had been reverted and the coach was again engaged in traffic, mostly on the schools trains.  With the frames having been sold off to the Welsh Highland Railway in 1975 for further use later on the Ffestiniog Railway in North Wales, the bodies from this coach had been removed and demolished at St. John's Station in 1968 under Lord Ailsa's regime.  Prior to this the coach had seen little use in the railway's declining years.
