Fleet No.:B.A.T. 1

Builders:                   Isle Of Man Railway

Built:                         2009

Status:                      Extant

The latest item of rolling stock to be supplied to the railway was built-in house in the summer of 2009 and comes in the form of B.A.T. 1; the wagon has been painted in an all-over plain black livery with yellow buffers and was construced using parts of the ex-A.W.G. ballast hopper that arrived on the railway during replacement of the permanent way in 2001.  Prior to its construction the well wagon was used to carry boilers during re-build of locomotives and this item of stock ensures that the former is now free for other uses.  It is seen at the rear of the plant shop at Douglas Station during the autumn of 2009.
