Posters promoting the railway to visitors and on the mainland have always been an integral part of the railway. In more recent years there have been general posters such as "Don't Miss The Train In The Isle Of Man" in addition to the large posters produced for each of the centenary events of the 1990s and as many of these as possible will be included here. In the Railway Company days there were standard posters for major stations that had the bottom portion left blank so that event details could be included on an ad-hoc basis. It was in the late 1960s and early 1970s when mass-production colour photo posters became more accessible that the attitude shifted and we have endeavoured to include a wide collection of posters here.
