Part of the third batch of two vans delivered in 1879, when the railway revered to purchasing stock from the Birmingham company after trialing the Ashbury-built wagons and vans.  Surplus to requirements and in poor condition this van was one of those relocated to Ballasalla Station and noted as being for sale in December 1974, but none of the items were in fact sold and this particular vehicle was scrapped later the following year.  The above image shows the van outside the goods shed at Port Erin in June 1951 in the deeper livery with a load of six ton being signwritten on the end.  The lower image is from February 1968 and comes courtesy of Supporters' Association member Ray Hulock, showing G.9 to the right, with Gr.13 on the left with G.8 in the centre.
