| This vehicle, together with F.19 were the only "small" F coaches to have half their capacity given over to luggage space and for this reason they are the only class of passenger coach on the railway to no longer exist. The premise of their design was later used in the F.33 type coach, which remains in service today in the form of F.49 which was co-incidentally the last new coach to be ordered for the I.M.R. Deemed to be surplus to requirements and having received some exterior damage during the shed fire at St. John's this coach was scrapped on site in July 1976. When originally built this coach carried 12 panels each side on the luggage compartment, though by 1928 this had been changed to six, making it match F.19. This detail can be seen on the rare early views of her, particularly clear in the purple lake livery. |
