The second of two deliveries from that year, purchased to cope with increased traffic demands, this van was withdrawn from traffic when replaced by braked bogie stock and ultimately the body was moved to Peel Road Station for use as a goods shed in 1911; the chassis survived until 1915 at which time it was broken up being beyond useful repair. End doors were fitted to the body whilst it was at Peel Road and it unusually retained its lookout duckets until the end. A familiar sight on many photographs of the station, complete with Swan Vesta tinplate advert on the bulkhead, it remained in situ after the closure in 1968 which is when the accompanying image from Michael Bishop was taken; the van body was finally destroyed by controlled fire as late as 1976.
