Home Douglas Terminus Toilet & Stable Block

The stable block and toilets are located on the northern side of the station and remain extant today, although the stable block was bricked up many years ago.  What today forms the ladies and gents toilets was originally built solely as the ladies toilets (a separate gents block being built in 1913 as the end of the Port Erin line platform) and converted to house both sexes in the 1978 refurbishment and rationalisation of the station.  Further along, next to this is the porters' offices (latterly between 1993 and 1999 home to the souvenir shop), then three lock-up garages, one of which was converted into a night-watchman's office in 1991 when a further refurbishment of the station took place prior to the celebration of the "Year Of Railways" two years later.
