This unit was acquired by the railway for use when lifting the Peel and Ramsey Lines in 1975 when prisoners from the island's only gaol at Victoria Road in Douglas were employed to assist with the removal of rails for the scrapman. It saw extensive use transporting prisoners to and from various locations along the line, being stored under tarpaulin between working days. It was then stored at Douglas Station and by 1977 it had been scrapped, the exact time and location of this appears to remain a mystery.
