These were small four-wheeled wagons used for carrying timber and often were run in pairs; they were hand-braked as evidenced in the accompanying photograph of L.4 taken at St. John's and all managed to survive in one form or another until quite late in the railway's history, seeing little use latterly largely on departmental duties. They carried the standard mid-grey livery on the woodwork with all black metalwork and were numbered in white without black shadowing as seen on some other pieces of non-passenger stock. The dedicated pages below give the details of each member of this class, all of which were scrapped and are no longer evident on the railway.
