The reason that R.10 only every carried the number in chalk rather than properly painted on, is accounted for simply by the fact that the vehcile was not in Douglas Yard when the numbering was carried out, and was therefore added later, in Castletown as a temporary measure!  After the Mantainor scheme folded this runner was retained and was sold in 1974 to the Welsh Highland Railway, later becoming coach No, 119 on the Ffestiniog Railway in 1977 where it remains today.
